| that participated. I was at the track for the autocross in time for all of the driver's meeting beforhand, and nothing was mentioned about the oval lapping except to head to the track before noon. The people hanging back, only to accelerate to 95 weren't too much out of line since the pace car never exceeded 80 or so. The guys holding back to 40 or so, then accelerating to 130 were the ones messing it up. A guy in a black 350 in front of me did it.....and once we got back in line I told him to quit fucking it up for the rest of us. He hemmed and hawwed about the "slingshot effect" and I told him either way, don't do it again in front of me. He stayed at speed the next time. The flip side is that if the pace car had at least maintained a speed above what people drove on the highway to get to the track, there wouldn't have been as many people trying to hang back only to accelerate. I think if the pace car had regularly hit 100 people would have considered it more appropriate and not been such asses. I mean seriously, what's the fucking point of showing up at a NASCAR track to drive 65? Dustin
